ANTA is deeply indebted and grateful to all its members, well-wishers, volunteers, and donors for their continued support and contributions towards ANTA's mission to serve the community. This year has been an enormously challenging one for our community both back in Nepal and in the USA. Notwithstanding, the community has come forward and helped each other with whatever means we have. ANTA extended its third round of COVID-19 financial relief to the artists of the Janakpur Women’s Development Center (JWDC) on October 24, 2020. The JWDC is an NGO based in Janakpur, that promotes Mithila arts and empowers Maithil women through the generation of income from their skills in making art and crafts. ANTA disbursed $1000 to the artists of the center.

Please see below a thank you note and a youtube video from Ms. Claire Burkert, the Founder of Janakpur Women’s Development Center (JWDC) which is one of the beneficiaries of ANTA’s financial assistance during COVID-19.

“As you know, with lockdown the Center has not been open for production. Moreover, the outlets for selling artwork and crafts have been closed. Meanwhile, the artists have struggled to make their ends meet. The JWDC administration has made many loans for medical expenses. We thank you so much for your support. We wish ANTA members good health --

Claire Burkert and the JWDC”
