ANTA has taken several important decisions since the installation of the current executive committee. We have formed an advisory committee and several subcommittees to make ANTA activities more participative and efficient. Likewise, we have executed two important projects aimed at helping students in Saptari and Rauthat districts. Furthermore, we have reached out to the people of Madhesh affected by the recent deadly flooding. We have seen a tremendous increase in the number of general and life members as a result of the membership drive carried out in recent times. The 4th ANTA General Convention was held on May 27th, 2017 in Edison, NJ with a theme of “Peace and Prosperity for Madhesh”. The convention was attended by approximately 200 participants. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest Dr. Raghbendra Dwivedy and speaker Mr. Scott DeLise (honorable former US Ambassador to Nepal). The other special guest included Mr. Charles Dambach (Nobel peace prize nominee of 2017), and Mr. J. D. Kim Esq (world peace ambassador), Mr. Ratan Jha (Founder President of ANTA), Mrs. Annapurna Deo (ANTA Founding Member and Human Rights Advocate).
