Amidst the rise in the COVID-19 cases in Nepal, ANTA has recently conducted a daylong free medical camp in Manara Shiswa Municipality, Mahottari to the benefit of the local residents who had not been able to secure medical help in the pandemic so far.

The medical team deployed by ANTA performed much more than the basic health checkups for over 900 individuals. The 12 doctor team from the Janakpur Hospital carried out ECGs, BP evaluations, diabetes checks, gynecological exams, pediatric evaluations, dermatological exams, orthopedic evaluations, and a range of another on-site testing that was long due and had been sacrificed during the pandemic due to limited mobility and financial hardships.

ANTA also provided free medicines to those who couldn't afford them and needed them immediately. We are grateful to all the selfless doctors (Janakpur Hospital), healthcare assistants (Janaki Healthcare Team), local volunteers, and our program coordinator Ms. Anjali Chaudhary who accomplished the task with patience, dignity, and pride.

Lastly, I would like to thank Mr. Dhiraj Chaudhary (General Secretary), Mr. Mukesh Karna (Treasurer), and Mr. Santosh Sah (Joint Treasurer) for coordinating and facilitating logistics & finance for this event.

ANTA will continue to make a difference in the lives of those who have fewer means to support themselves in Nepal where the Covid situation is getting dire and grim progressively.
