From the President’s Desk.
Dear ANTA Family and Friends,
As we welcome 2026, I extend my warm greetings and sincere appreciation to the ANTA community. It is both an honor and a responsibility to serve an organization built on unity, cultural pride, and a shared commitment to preserving the rich heritage of the Terai while creating meaningful impact in our communities across the United States and Nepal.
The past year marked a significant period of growth and accomplishment for ANTA. We proudly launched the ANTA Collegiate Scholarship Program, supporting 51 deserving SEE students from the Terai region and investing in the future leaders of our community. Our commitment to unity and engagement continued through the ANTA Premier League, which brought together 20 teams in a celebration of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Cultural preservation remained central to our mission. Through the ANTA Webinar Series, we explored Awadh, Mithila, and Bhojpuri heritage, fostering learning, dialogue, and pride across generations. In collaboration with the Bharatiya Hindu Temple in Ohio, our Chhath celebration once again brought hundreds of devotees together, reflecting the spiritual strength and cultural continuity of our community.
Our service initiatives, including the Giving Tuesday Campaign, enabled critical support for health camps, flood relief, food assistance, and educational opportunities in Nepal. At the same time, our Nepali Language Classes continued to connect younger generations with their roots, strengthening identity and belonging.
These achievements are a shared success. I extend my sincere gratitude to our Executive Committee, volunteers, donors, partners, and well-wishers whose dedication and generosity form the foundation of ANTA.
Looking ahead, 2026 offers new opportunities to grow stronger together. We will continue expanding our scholarship programs, strengthening cultural and educational initiatives, and deepening community engagement across borders. An active and united membership will remain central to achieving this vision.
As we move forward, let us do so with pride in our heritage and confidence in our shared purpose. Together, we are not just building an organization - we are shaping a lasting legacy for future generations.
With gratitude and confidence,
Tauleshwar P Chaudhary President, ANTA Email : president@terai.org https://www.terai.org/
